Marketing Analytic Report plan of attack.

For my marketing analytic report I plan on doing a bit more research than we did for our proposal. I would like to spend a decent amount of time conducting some more in depth surveys with the students of NDSU. These surveys will include some more detailed questions compared to our other survey which dealt with more very broad questions. Some questions that I plan on asking will include their opinions on different marketing strategies around campus like the T signs in the memorial union, thunder radio, or even the triangle type ads on dining hall tables.

I will have to find out which of these (or which combination) would be the best plan of attack in order to draw a larger NDSU student crowd to the Theatre on a regular basis. This I can hopefully also accomplish with the survey that I will come up with, but if I feel I don’t gather enough information with surveys alone, I will have to do some other research such as talking to staff around campus, and see if there is some sort of advertising that I have overlooked that could be of some help.

As far as our coupon idea goes. I will also add something to my survey that includes the kind of deals that we might put onto our coupons. A possible idea would be to list several ideas, like buy one get one half price movie tickets, or a free popcorn with 2 ticket purchases, and have the survey taker order the ideas in the order that they would most rather have. This way I can figure out what coupons would draw the most students, and be able to have a good idea what coupons would be the most cost effective.

Once I gather as much information about the student body as I can, I can start to put together an effective marketing campaign for the Fargo Theatre, and I will also be able to have an idea what the prices of each are. I hope to be able to bring an effective marketing plan to the table, and help the Fargo Theatre draw a larger student group to the theatre.
